An Easter Christening

With Grandma Sun visiting from Melbourne & Dad on paternity leave, we decided to baptise Xavier on Easter Sunday....

8th April 2012
St John Fisher Catholic Church

Xavier was two weeks and two days old. His christening gown held special meaning as it had been worn by all of us Noonan kids and we wanted to keep up the family tradition.

The proud Godparents, Aunty Helen and Uncle Jack

With Grandma Sun, Father Michael and Pop Noonan it was a relaxed affair

We just arrived back home and were about to have morning tea...Yang and I tried to get the perfect family photo however little Xavier slept through everything that morning....what a wonderful baby! A big thanks goes to Dad for helping to hold Xave's head up so we can see his face in this pic!

The Christening Cake!!!

This was the top tier of our wedding cake, including the original flowers. It had been carefully stored frozen by my Aunty Ann-Marie after our big day...it was delicious!

A very happy Gran having a cuddle after getting changed out of his gown,
she's taking his "SMILE" outfit literally...

Partying with Easter Eggs the night before the Christening, he really didn't want to sleep then...

Happy Easter 2012!

  1. Wish we could've come too! Looks like you had a great day as proud parents and godparents. Such a lovely idea to save your wedding cake for this day.
